Cure For Low Libido Problem in Women

The busy life we are living today is taking its toll on our body and causing many health concerns. In this article we are mainly concerned with the low libido or lack of sexual desire in women. Let us find out the causes and the ways through which women can overcome this problem.

Causes

Women these days live a very stressful life which gives them very little time to recover from the stress. For example they not only have to keep their office work up to date but also look after daily home chores and then worry about rising inflation. All this work is bound to make her tired and there is no energy left for sex at the end of the day which can sometimes cause problems in a relationship.

Overcoming Low Libido

The good thing about this problem is that if you follow some simple lifestyle changes you can again increase your sexual desire. The first thing you can do in this regard is to start taking minimum 7 to 8 hours of sleep so that your body can recover and repair itself from the rough work it has gone through in the day.

One can also take the help of natural herbs which have mood enhancing properties as well as help in enhancing sexual desire. These herbs are generally available in pill or capsule and can be taken as daily supplements. Herbal medicines do not cause any side effects instead will help in improving your overall health. Alongside these things you should also start exercising, drink lots of water, avoid alcohol and smoking, and eat home cooked food as often as possible as it provides the body with all required nutritional content.

Anti Aging Secrets - Learn the Secret of Beautiful, Youthful Skin

Aging is inevitable, we all know that. But what if you found out that there were a few anti aging secrets that could slow the process and help you spend a greater portion of your lifetime as a healthy, young looking adult? There are some secrets that, if you implement them, you will see effects very quickly.

One of the most effective anti aging secrets is to build a diet that is rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants help get rid of free radicals that are damaging your cells and contributing greatly to the process of aging. By counteracting these harmful free radicals, you can offset the process of aging quite a bit. These can be found in foods such as fruits and nuts, as well as in various supplements that can be taken in pill form.

Another anti aging secret is that you want a diet high in carbohydrates! Many diet programs involve limiting your intake, but it is actually best to have complex carbohydrates in your diet to a great extent. If your diet is also low in fat, you will be well set for staying healthier longer.

Another important thing to realize is that sleep is extremely important. Many people think that part of being young is being able to run on little sleep, but as you age, this becomes less and less feasible. If you can get in the habit of getting close to 8 hours of sleep per night, you will look and feel younger and healthier almost instantly.

One of the anti aging secrets that many people overlook is found in their posture. If you keep a good posture, it will not only make you look younger, but it will help you keep that good posture as you age. As people age, they tend to start stooping over more and more - but if you can keep your back and neck straight, you won't have to deal with that problem.

Master Diet Cleanse - Should This Lemonade Be Used For Quick Weight Loss?

Most people are familiar with the Master Diet Cleanse and might be wondering if this lemonade should be used for quick weight loss. The Master Diet Cleanse originated in 1941 when alternative medicine proponent Stanley Burroughs created the plan to cleanse and eliminate toxins from the body. Since then, people have been using the cleanse for not only it's detoxifying benefits but also for quick weight loss. Some celebrities have even used forms of the diet including Beyonce, Liv Tyler and Kym Johnson from Dancing With The Stars.

But celebrities are always doing crazy diets for the red carpet and to be ready for the spotlight. Is this diet something that the average person can do too? Maybe not in it's original form. You see, the original diet consisted of only drinking a mixture of lemons, cayenne pepper, water and maple syrup for 10 days. There was no eating so users were most likely losing just water weight and perhaps muscle too. Sure, they lost a lot of weight, but at what cost to their bodies?

Nowadays, there is a better way to try the Master Diet Cleanse by getting all of the ingredients in a pill form. With this plan, dieters can take the pill for 14 days and possibly lose up to 17 pounds but they also get to eat real food. So there is no starving and eating food keeps your body just burning fat, not the muscle we want to keep.

So what are the benefits to this? First of all, your body gets a good cleaning out. Lemons are naturally detoxifying and help to clear your system. Next, you will lose weight quickly. While losing weight quickly might not always be the best way to go about it, sometimes people just need something fast for a wedding or an upcoming event that they don't want to feel puffy and bloated for. Lastly, some people who cleanse have reported clearer skin and a clearer mentality.

The new master diet cleanse in lemonade pill form might be a good solution to taking off some unwanted pounds quickly.

How to Cure Insomnia Without Medication

What would you do if you can't fall asleep for the night or worse, for a few nights?

Indeed, you'll feel awful and grouchy if you lose sleep the whole night. Thanks to the invention of sleeping pills - you hit the sack and sleep like a log throughout the night.

So you start taking drugs, thinking you found a remedy for your insomnia? No, do not depend entirely on sleep medications as they can create undesirable side effects while temporarily inducing sleep.

To cure insomnia, you just need some natural remedies. In fact, start by analyzing your lifestyle, as they may be the cause of your insomnia. Once you change some of your habits, you'll nip your sleepless problem in the bud.

Now, try out these simple natural insomnia remedies, which aim to change your habits to make you sleep better at bedtime. They work best for you if your sleep problem is not sparked by the side effects from other medications you're undertaking.

1. Reserve your bedroom for TWO things only - sleep and sex. In other words, avoid eating, working, computers, TV, video or loud music in the bedroom.

2. Create a clean and comfy environment for slumbering - soft lights, good ventilation, appropriate room temperature, good support pillows, and sufficient comforters.

3. Taking a relaxing warm bath before bedtime can lower your body temperature thereby helps to induce sleep. Soaking your feet in a tub of warm water before bedtime can achieve similar effect. Certain aromatherapy oil can enhance calming effect, provided you like the smell.

4. Avoid caffeinated drinks such as coffee, tea, soft drinks or chocolate drink and / or cigarettes after 7pm in the evening. Also avoid snacking just before slumber time so that your body can fully focus on making you sleep instead of having to partially work on the food you send to your stomach.

5. Turn off your cell phone (its radiation can upset your normal sleep pattern), blackberries, MSN or Yahoo! Messenger, ICQ etc after a certain time at night.

6. Sleep inducers such as soy milk, whole grain, certain seeds (pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flaxseeds) and nuts (walnuts, cashews, almonds, pecans, peanuts) help your brain to relax. Drink a glass of milk or calming herbal tea with a handful of whole-wheat crackers before bedtime. But remember not to overeat those foods and do visit the bathroom right before sack time so that you won't have to drag yourself up in the mid of your sweet dream (I hate that!).

7. If you cannot conk out after half an hour in bed, get up and listen to some soothing music, or read a book (but avoid stimulating or exciting content such as horrors and thrillers). Use warm tungsten reading lamp instead of fluorescent lamp. Avoid watching TV or DVDs as the light from these devices are bright and will interfere with your body's biological clock, worsening your sleepless condition. Return to bed as soon as you feel sleepy.

8. Regular exercise relieves tension, thereby aiding sleep. But try not to work out before sleeptime as it may keep you awake.

9. Train your body to sleep and wake up at the same time every day regardless of whether it is weekend or public holiday. Setting a regular sleep routine helps your body and brain get used to falling asleep naturally at a fixed time each day. The ideal time to hit the hay is between 9 to 11pm so as to achieve better sleep quality.

10. If you need to snooze during the day, try to keep it within 20 - 30 minutes that is sufficient to charge you up. Napping too long may result in dizzy mind, which can adversely affect your productivity as well as your nocturnal sleep.

11. If you're working at home, stop work at least two hours before turning in to allow your mind to unwind and relax.

12. Improve your diet by reducing meat intake and eating more fruits and vegetables such as berries, green leafy vegetables, whole grains and cereals. These natural goodies help to revitalize your body and help to keep your sleeping mechanism function properly with less "glitches".

I would also recommend an amazing sleep-inducing fruit - Kiwi.

Packed with abundant vitamins (especially vitamin C), minerals (including calcium, potassium, magnesium) and dietary fiber, you should eat them more often and not only for insomnia problem.

Among the nutrients in kiwi, calcium is the one helping you to relax, which isn't found in many fruits. But be prepared that you'll only feel the effect after a few weeks of eating 2 kiwis each night.

What about taking calcium supplements? As with all artificially extracted supplements, they bring some adverse conditions. I reckon you do not want to add more toll on your health with those side effects.

Kiwi's effect too slow for you? Think about this - eating two per night replenishes you with so much nutrition and makes you sleep better naturally in the long run. Isn't this an easy deal?

Sleeping pill or natural cure for insomnia? Make your choice.

Beware Of The Damaging Sleep Zappers

The things that you do, eat or think about are usually responsible for preventing you to fall asleep or stay asleep. You may not realize that bringing the work home or drinking coffee in the afternoon may be the reason why you feel you are being deprived of your precious snooze time. So the next time you head to a pharmacy to buy a pill for your sleeping woes, you may want to check first whether the things that you do, drink or eat are the ones causing your problem. Below are just some of the well-known sleep zappers you need to avoid.

Stress

Apprehension about an upcoming date, a presentation at the office, a final exam in Chemistry, and preparations for a wedding or marriage proposal can all affect the sleeping patterns of a person. When you are anxious about something, you worry about it a lot even when you are already lying on your bed. It is a known fact that stress due to one-time events such as those mentioned above are normal and not surprising.

However, there are people who almost always worry about everything. If you are one of those individuals, then you might find yourself losing sleep even if there are really no important occasions or deadlines coming up. Just thinking about your malfunctioning dishwasher or what jeans will go with your top can be reasons enough for your sleep woes. The same is true for people whose jobs require them to be on their toes all the time. If you are a chronic worrier, then there is a big chance that you will also be sleep deprived on most nights.

Afternoon Caffeine Fix

Drinking coffee is not really bad for you. In fact, coffee contains a lot of antioxidants that are crucial in fighting free radicals and restoring the cells in your body. Even if this beverage is good for you, however, you still need to take it in moderation. If you are a coffee junkie, one who drinks almost six cups of coffee everyday, then do not complain if you are having sleepless nights.

Experts believe that drinking coffee or any caffeine-rich beverage in the afternoon can actually contribute to having difficulty falling asleep at night. If you feel that you are tossing and turning at night with no apparent reason, then you might need to look back and consider if you are guilty of a caffeine fix during the afternoon or the nightcap.

Instead of coffee, you can always rely on fruits, particularly apples, to keep you awake all afternoon. Furthermore, avoiding fatty and starchy foods during lunch can also make you less sleepy during mid-afternoons.

Light And Sound

Your body usually releases a hormone called melatonin at about two in the morning to help you fall into deep and restful sleep. However, this hormone is only released when it is dark. If your bedroom window is facing a lamppost or a huge neon billboard, then your brain might delay or avert the release of melatonin, thinking it is still the daytime. If you are having difficulty achieving a restful sleep, then you should invest in thick dark curtains or even an eye mask.

Sounds from a bustling street or a snoring partner can really keep you awake all night. You can either relocate or leave your partner, or simply invest on an earplug to keep the noise level low. By the way, if you really care about your partner, you can also ask him or her to visit a doctor and check whether the snoring is caused by an illness or a serious condition.

If you want to have a restful slumber, then be sure to avoid the abovementioned sleep zappers. Instead of popping a pill, you might also want to consider alternative medications to help promote better sleep and less stress. There are many supplements and sleep aids available in the market that are safe and all natural. One product that can help you achieve a deep and restful sleep is Somulin. Know more about it by visiting http://www.somulin.com.

Need Sleep Help? Don't Go to the Drugstore Until You Read This

Did you realize that sleep is more important to our bodies than food? Go without food for a couple of days and you will be uncomfortably hungry. Go without sleep for a couple of days and you will be hallucinating. Without sleep, your body is unable to repair itself. Without enough sleep, you become a danger to yourself and to others. So when you can't sleep, it's much more than a minor annoyance. This may sound dramatic, but getting effective sleep help really could be at matter of life and death.

If you're facing a bout of insomnia, what should you do first? Rush to your local drugstore to buy something that forces your body to sleep? That's the first thing many people think of. There are several over-the-counter remedies and a wide range of prescription sleeping pills. But sometimes the easiest choice isn't the best choice.

The promise of sleeping pills is very attractive. "Just take this and you can sleep." If only it were that easy. Have you ever noticed the possible side effects printed on over-the-counter sleeping pill bottles and? The fine print often warns of sleeplessness or excitability. How do you like the sound of that? Essentially, it means that this "remedy" will either do what you want or it will cause the exact opposite of what you want. It's not exactly the kind of sleep help you were looking for, was it?

Prescription sleep aids pack more punch, but they have unpredictable side effects as well. The drug industry spends several hundred million dollars a year reassuring you that these pills are safe and effective. The advertisements barely mention the possibility of short-term amnesia, but users of even the newest generation sleeping pills report waking up to find things have happened that they don't remember.

If you need sleep help, you're not restricted to pharmacy shelves and pill bottles. There are natural alternatives that work in harmony with your body, have no side effects, and yet remain very effective. There are also things you can do without taking any pills at all that can virtually eliminate any problem you have sleeping. Don't settle for the easiest but least effective solution. Find out how to cure your insomnia for good.

Fall Asleep - Without Pills or Tossing And Turning - Natural Sleep Remedy

No doubt you have heard of or used the practice of counting sheep as they jump over your headboard or through the air when you are unable to fall asleep. While this practice may work for some, there is another more empowering and worthwhile practice.

Insomniacs are more likely to fall asleep by imagining a relaxing scene than by counting sheep, scientists have found.

Researchers at Oxford University discovered that the traditional cure for sleeplessness, believed to date from the 19th century, does not work because it is just too boring to keep the mind from drifting to problems and concerns.

In an experiment, 50 insomniacs were asked to use different techniques to see which helped them to fall asleep more quickly. One group imagined a relaxing, tranquil scene like a waterfall or a beach. The second group counted sheep while a third were left to their own devices.

Those who conjured up the relaxing scene fell asleep more than 20 minutes earlier than if they did nothing. Those who counted sheep and the controls took slightly longer than normal to drop off.

The next time you have difficulty falling asleep calm yourself with loving thoughts. Recall a time, when you felt particularly loved and appreciated, or when you felt loving toward someone else. Recapture that feeling in mind, body and spirit--these feelings have a powerful calming effect and you can drift off to sleep. As you recall yourself feeling the strong sense of love in mind, body and spirit--recite this mantra. "I am filled with loving kindness. I am well. I am peaceful and at ease. I am happy." Not only does this practice help you fall asleep easily, it gives your self-esteem a boost.

Sleep Medication

Have you ever had one of those nights where you just had a feeling that you weren't going to get any sleep? This happens to countless numbers of people across the country, and for many of them, the only way to combat it is to use alcohol and/or some sort of sleeping pill in order to assure them that they will indeed get a restful night of sleep; but does this make it right?

Sleeping pills, while being incredibly dangerous if not used as prescribed are also dangerous because they can be highly addictive. It is one thing if you use a sleeping pill or some sort of sleeping aid to help you get to sleep one night once in a while; but to use sleeping pills as a crutch is quite another thing. There comes a point in your life where you have to take a hard look at your life in order to figure out what it is about your day-to-day life that is preventing you from getting an adequate amount of sleep at night. For instance, when I was in the police department, every couple of weeks, our schedules would change up where we would have to work a different shift. So, for two weeks, we would work an AM shift before switching to a modified PM shift and then a Midnight shift. It was tiring and grueling on the body.

Naturally an early morning person, I found it extremely difficult to work the midnight shift because all that my body wanted to do was rest. I didn't want to succumb as so many of the other officers had done and start consuming energy drinks or coffee because these types of items were not known to be nutritional and are actually attributed with bad health. So, I struggled- sometimes falling asleep on my shift because I literally could not keep my eyes awake- even when I was on calls! When I would get home from a long shift, I would feel tired initially, but then I would have my second wind. Full of energy, I would often make time to meet up with one of my old cross country friends at the end of my shift to go for a run. Shortly after going for my run, I would get back to my house, shower and go to bed.

There were plenty of times when I couldn't fall asleep though. In retrospect, I think that a large part of my problem with falling asleep was in my mind. I knew that I had to get rest because I also knew that I had to get up for work the next day. I was stressed out thinking about how I would have to sleep when it was bright out so that I would be well rested for whatever the night shift would have in store for me. I missed my academic life and hanging out with my friends. I hated being tired all of the time. I considered sleeping pills at one point but decided against it (mostly because I have a strong aversion to taking any sort of drugs or medication). Eventually, I switched careers and my sleeping improved 95 percent.

While I still, occasionally, have problems getting to sleep, I now realize that a lot of it has to do with relaxing my mind in preparation for rest. I would not advise taking sleeping pills unless you are under the supervision of a doctor. Also, if you are going to work out, make sure that you do it at least several hours before you lay down.

Why a Natural Sleep Aid Beats a Sleeping Pill Every Time

Just a little sleeplessness can have a huge effect on your life. In fact, you can live longer without food and water than you can live without sleep. When you can't sleep, you want help right away. You probably don't want to hear about lifestyle choices and sleep programs. You just want to get a good night's sleep. That's why so many people turn to sleeping pills. But prescription sleep aids can do more harm than good. So if you need help fast, try using a natural sleep aid. You may be surprised at just how effective it is.

Drug makers want you to believe that sleeping pills are safe. They are spending millions of dollars reassuring you that their product is the best solution to sleeplessness. But what they are really delivering is dependence. The longer you take sleeping pills, the greater you will depend on them. And just when you need them most, they will let you down. Because even though your body begins to demand the pills, it also builds up tolerance to their effects.

Make no mistake about it. Insomnia is a serious condition. However, we have been conditioned to believe that really effective remedies require a prescription. We tend to distrust natural or alternative remedies, especially in the western world. This is unfortunate, because many natural remedies have long histories of safe and effective use. And natural sleep aids don't create a physical dependence like pharmaceutical solutions.

Natural sleep remedies are safe, effective and don't lead to dependency. Are there any other reasons to choose them over sleeping pills? Drug store solutions only treat the symptoms. They may be able to sedate you into a condition that resembles sleep. But when the next day dawns, the truth will become evident. They really don't improve how you feel when you're awake. Many users report long periods of morning drowsiness.

To sum up, there are several good reasons to prefer a natural sleep aid over prescription sleeping pills. Natural remedies are safer, with fewer side effects. They don't leave you with a hangover in the morning, and they usually work better the longer you take them. And natural alternatives have been clinically proven to work. The best long-term cure of insomnia will involve several new habits and choices. But while you're putting your new sleep program together, you can use natural sleep aids to help you fall asleep.

In Case of Insomnia - How to Rebuild Your Sleep?

If the first step is to identify the causes of sleep disorders, to treat insomnia at its source, the second is to find good recipes for living better sleep.

What are the recipes for insomnia and sleep again?

- Do not make sport the past 17h.
- Avoid naps.

People with insomnia tend to doze during the day. If they nap, they enter a vicious circle, because naps can then prevent them from sleeping at night. Even micro-naps should be avoided because they value very relaxing. After a micro-nap, an insomniac found form and can no longer sleep at night. Precisely in this way settle the Chronic insomnia in the first half the night.

- Adopting a method of relaxation and meditation suited to itself.

For example: listen to music while driving his car or learn a relaxation technique such as hypnosis, especially at night before bed.

- In case of diagnosis (the cause of insomnia is an underlying disease that has been identified: depression, stress syndrome, restless legs, sleep apnea...), treat the cause of insomnia.
- Avoid the use of sleeping pills. Otherwise, use them only for short durations. The sleeping pill is not the solution!
- Ask your doctor medications that rebuilding sleep. Examples are certain antidepressants, which in small doses, provide a sustainable response to sleep with a clear improvement of insomnia.

Do not be hostile to these drugs under the pretext that they have a label antidepressant. Here they are used at different doses and with different effects.

Furthermore, profits on the insomnia persists even after stopping treatment.

- Use light therapy in case of delay of the phases of sleep.

Normally, the phases of sleep come to 23h, or even midnight. In some people, they occur earlier in the evening, around 21-22 h. If they loupent this time, they will then have difficulty falling asleep. But if they meet this schedule sleep, they wake up around 3 am. Others have reversed phases of sleep that occurs later, around 1-2am. They come not to fall asleep before then and they have trouble getting up in the morning.

In one way or another, it is a lag phase. It then recommends light therapy, which involves exposure to sunlight scattered by a lamp with a force of 10,000 lux (unit of light). It is exposed for an hour each morning which will help realign the phases of sleep.

These tips are put into practice daily. If they prove ineffective, it is recommended to talk to his doctor with him to find the most suitable.

Are You Giving Your Muscles Enough Sleep?

Your muscles don't grow when you are at the gym working out. They grow when you rest and sleep. Just because you are pumped up at the gym doesn't mean you are going to stay like that without rest.

I try getting about 8 hours of sleep every night or even 9 hours. If you sometimes tend to take a nap, I suggest you take an hour or 2 nap after the gym. Sometimes I will go straight home after the gym and take a protein shake, then a nap right after. I know that if I get less sleep I will wake up in the morning so tired and sluggish. This is why I would have to drink coffee or take a caffeine pill to get energy. You need enough rest to GROW and to recover for your next workout. I always eat something before I go to bed too so that I don't tend to wake up in the night hungry.

If you are in a growing phase like I just was and trying to really gain weight then you really want some rest. I try not doing any extra activities besides working out so that I can grow. I avoid things like basketball or swimming. I also don't do that much if any at all cardio when gaining weight in the winter time. Try these few things with a proper diet and you will really pack on the muscle just like I do. Remember less sleep equals less results! Get the body you want!

Insomnia Cures Should Match the Cause

Are you trapped in a cycle of insomnia? Unfortunately, that's exactly where many people find themselves. We--humans, that is--need sleep. It's how our bodies miraculously repair those little bits of physical damage we suffer during the day. But if something prevents you from sleeping well, your body doesn't get a chance to restore itself.

Insomnia--an inability to sleep--can keep you from performing well the next day. This may lead to stress that keeps you awake the next night. If this cycle is allowed to continue, it could literally kill you. And this is why insomnia cures are so important. Your very survival depends on them.

Curing insomnia is possible only after we understand the cause. Your inability to sleep is not really a disease; it's a symptom of other problems. Although insomnia has many causes, the first place you should look is inside your own head. Stress, anxiety and depression are by far the most common causes of sleeplessness. They make it almost impossible for your brain to "shut up" at night and let you sleep.

And guess what? The insomnia these mental conditions cause will usually make them worse. Anxiety causes insomnia, insomnia causes anxiety, anxiety causes insomnia...well, you get the idea.

You could always take sleeping pills. But pills are not the best solution. Prescription sleep aids don't treat the cause of your insomnia. In fact, they don't really treat anything. Think about it. If you have an infection, you take antibiotics. After ten days of antibiotics, the infection is gone and you stop taking the pills. Problem solved.

Unfortunately, sleeping pills don't work that way. If you take sleeping pills for ten days, you will probably get ten nights of drug-induced sleep. But when you stop taking the sleeping pills, there is an excellent chance you won't be able to sleep at all. In fact, you will probably be climbing the walls trying to figure out how to score another pill.

Mental issues like stress, anxiety and depression should be treated with appropriate methods. There are some incredibly effective stress and anxiety reduction techniques that can be easily learned and practiced. Depression may be more difficult to tackle, but it's a pretty sure bet that sleeping pills aren't the best remedy.

Here's the point: find out what's causing your insomnia before you start throwing pills at it. The most effective insomnia cures are closely matched to the cause. Most insomnia can be cured with mental exercises and lifestyle changes. There are also excellent herbal remedies that are much safer than prescription sleep aids. Remember how great it used to feel when you got a good night's sleep? It's possible to feel that way again.

Benefits of Human Growth Hormone - HGH Enhancing Products

Human Growth Hormone has often been referred to as the "fountain of youth hormone". So, have we stumbled upon the proverbial "fountain of youth" with these new HGH enhancement supplements that claim to reduce fat, relieve "aging symptoms" such as wrinkles, increase energy and sex drive, promote sounder and deeper sleep cycles, and rejuvenate the body? Well, there are several faithful users of products in this arena (and I'm one of them) that will swear that since they have started taking HGH enhancing products, they've experienced a wide range of pleasing and desirable benefits, and it's not placebo.

If your goal is to proactively slow your body's aging process and optimize your personal longevity and quality of life, a quality HGH supplement may be just the thing for you. So, let's take a look at what these HGH products propose to do for you, and how they propose to offer such life-changing benefits to anyone who has the inclination to buy such products, and faithfully take the supplement as prescribed.

As we age, the amount of HGH secreted by our body's pituitary gland decreases, resulting in the symptoms of aging you see in your skin (wrinkles, loss of tone and firmness), energy level, libido, hair color (loss of hair color, or graying of hair), weight gain, and muscle to fat ratio. We could go on forever on the symptoms of aging, but we'll leave it at that for the sake of brevity, and because I'm sure you don't have all day!

HGH supplements do not contain actual Human Growth Hormone - for this you would actually need to go to a doctor who does this type of thing, pay about $10,000 a year, and get injections of real Human Growth Hormone.

Rather, most HGH supplement products employ the use of homeopathic medicine and stimulate the pituitary gland into producing more Human Growth Hormone, increasing it's levels in the blood (usually a big difference will be noticed within a month to two month's time, which allows for the HGH-promoting agents to gain higher levels in the blood and become effective).

These HGH stimulating agents are what we call non prescription amino acid secretagogue supplementation. These compounds stimulate the pituitary gland and encourage it to secrete more HGH into the blood stream, hence the anti-aging benefits that are a direct result of increased HGH in the body. Studies have shown that amino acids such as arginine, glutamine and lysine can significantly increase the production of HGH. The tricky part is, many of these amino acid compounds can be destroyed by the digestive acids in the stomach, rendering any HGH enhancing abilities useless. If you are going to consider an HGH supplement in pill form, be sure there is a technology used to coat or protect the amino acids from being destroyed by your stomach acids. Most quality supplements in pill form will indicate that they employ this type of protective technology, just be sure to look for that information.

Another popular method of delivery is powder and spray form. Whatever your preference, just make sure you purchase the supplement from a reputable homeopathic and/or herbal company that has a wide range of successful products, plenty of customer testimonials, and a money back or quality guarantee. I can personally testify that I have been using an HGH supplement for about two months, and I'm no scientist, but I can definitely tell you, I feel great and I haven't gotten sick once since I've been on it, even with several stomach flu viruses and cold bugs going around the office.

I've also notice that my sleep quality has improved and I wake up feeling more refreshed, my skin seems to be smoother and more toned, my fatty areas and cellulite seem to be improving/diminishing more and more every day, my appetite has decreased, I have more energy and can think more clearly at work without the typical fogginess I used to get halfway through my day, and my eyes are brighter and more full of life. Overall, my quality of life has definitely improved since about a month after I started the supplement.

Coincidence? Maybe - but I doubt it. I'm what you might call an herbal-product-of-the-moment junkie. I've experimented with many of the fads of the moment in the herbal and alternative medicine field, and I've never experienced such noticeable and obvious results as I have with HGH as I have with any of these other products. Try it - it may be just what you're looking for to slow the aging process, improve your quality of life overall, and get the youthful edge back.

Acai Berry Side Effects - Do Acai Berry Supplements Cause Any Side Effects?

If you've been thinking about using an Acai berry supplement, but you're concerned about whether there are any possible side effects, then you can relax. There isn't anything to worry about. While there haven't been extensive medical studies done yet on any possible acai berry side effects, anecdotal evidence doesn't point to anything significant.

If anything, the most likely side effect appears to be a diminished appetite and increased energy, since acai berry is generally stimulating. FOr most of us, that's the reason we're taking acai berry supplements in the first place. But for some folks, any extra stimulants in their diet can cause sleep problems or heart palpitations. The stimulant in acai, theobromine, is quite a bit milder than caffeine however so acai really shouldn't have the same effect.

For the most part, you don't have to worry about acai berry side effects. The tribes in the Amazon have been eating acai berries and drinking acai juice as part of their diet for centuries with no ill effects. In fact, Acai contributes to their overall good health due to its excellent antioxidant properties. It's also a quality source of the "good fats", particularly omega 6 and 9, and it is high in protein.

Now, you can possibly notice some side effects from products that are included with acai berry. Since the berries are too delicate for extensive transport, they are usually available on the US and European markets as a juice, a powder or in capsule or tablet form. While pure acai berry juice is available, frequently the juices are mixed with other types of juice. So if there's a particular type of juice that gives you a problem, then you'll want to avoid any such mix. For example, I avoid most citric juices because the acid content bothers me.

For supplements in the form of powders, capsules and tablets, you may find that acai berry is combined with another product. Probably the most popular right now is green tea. I use an acai berry supplement that contains green tea because it has some great weight loss benefits. But some folks might find green tea a bit too stimulating. Green tea has some caffeine in it. Some people find though that that extra kick in the green tea is just what they need.

Depression - An Overview of Anti-Depressant Side Effects

Every effect of medication may be considered a side-effect. Well, all right, that's a bit pedantic, but I say that only because no-one, not even the drug companies, know precisely how the drugs work.

There are many side effects of anti-depressants, the reason being that how the brain re-acts to them, indeed how it re-acts to depression itself, is unknown. Moreover, it's so different from one case to the next. What will affect you, won't affect me and vice-versa.

When you really think about it, if it was known for sure what the effect of a certain drug would have on the brain, and if depression itself were better understood, then scientists and chemists could sit down and make up a medication that didn't have any other effects than those for which they're intended. Namely, to cure the depression. There would be no deviance. The drug would attack and nullify the depression; no more and no less.

It isn't only with depression drugs that we see these 'side-effects' though, is it? Heart pills, pills for ladies' periods, slimming tablets. You name it, there's a side-effect for it! It's really quite alarming on a TV commercial when they run through what else the pill might do to you and end up saying something like; 'In very rare cases, death has been reported.' I'm glad they're rare cases!

Especially with mild to moderate depression, anti-depressants are similar to taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut. The amazing computer that's our brain, unbelievably delicate and well balanced as it is, must suffer, certainly in the long term, by having chemicals effectively shot into it from the outside. Something must happen in the brain. Something must be set off balance.

Now, I've been lucky. I have to take a certain medication to keep depression at bay and have done so for quite a long time. The only side effect I've noticed is a dry mouth sometimes. Then again, I only have to take one of these pills a day, and I don't take any others.

I always think of an analogy where I'm quite a good electronics engineer, (in fact, I don't know the first thing about electronics, but let's assume I do). I'm not the best, but I'm pretty good.

One day I come up with a brilliant invention whereby with the flick of a switch, I'm able to halve the electrical power input of, say, New York, while doubling the output. This saves the city millions of dollars. The generators can run for half the time and give New Yorkers exactly the same service. This is marvellous, but there's only one problem.

When you turn on the switch, twelve thousand volts shoots through you! Now that's a silly example in one sense, but what it illustrates is that while I know what I'm doing in certain areas, in others, I have no idea

The Secret of Shutting Your Brain Off to Sleep

Are you still thinking about that annoying coworker, what to eat for tomorrow night's dinner or money issues before shutting your eyes at night? Is it preventing you from getting sleep? If so, you may be in need of a few secrets that will help you shut your brain off to sleep. After all, staying awake worrying isn't going to help you deal with them in the morning. In fact, it will harm your ability to do so.

Meditation and learning to breath

Everyone knows how to breath, right? Sure they do, but do they know how to breathe properly to calm their minds and bodies?

Basically, before going to bed, you find a relaxing atmosphere. Perhaps you enjoy candlelight, and the color scheme of your living room. You can either lie down in your living room or sit in a comfortable chair and light a candle. It's important to be relaxed in order to get the best results.

Now take a few deep breaths, close your eyes and try to push all of the clambering thoughts from your mind. Take a deep breath through your nose. You want to do this slowly, while concentrating on your body, and once your lungs are full of air, release it slowly through your mouth.

Now set a rhythm, and you will hopefully fall into a light meditative state. Using this technique before bed has helped a great deal of people relax, and get a better night sleep. Yoga, which teaches this sort of breathing, while tiring your body out at the same time, can be a huge benefit for people who have trouble sleeping at night.

Massage

I nice back or body massage can be a wonderful tool when trying to get some shut-eye. Getting those knots of tension massaged out of your system can be relaxing and many people fall asleep while getting the massage. You can also get the massage before or after your meditation session to boost the effects.

Making love

Or if you were a little frisky after your massage, perhaps your partner would be up for a little nookie. Sex releases chemicals in the brain that naturally help you to relax and fall asleep. Plus, a little bit of post-sex cuddling never hurts either.

Reading

Reading before bed can help you shut your mind off and divert your attention from the day's events. However, this method only works for about 50% of people, but if you've tried everything else, this may be the answer for you.

Hot bath

I nice hot bath, some candlelight and a good book could be the answer you're looking for. You could also relax in the tub before heading off for your massage and meditation session. Sounds a lot like paradise, right? Just make sure you have your bath an hour or so before bed so your body temperature can settle down afterwards.

If you're looking to shut your brain off to sleep, try these secrets. While there is no solution that works for everybody, these secrets will help the majority of them. You just have to find the technique that works for you.

Keep Your Best Friend Pain Free With Dog Arthritis Treatment

When joint pain is a problem for your older dog, arthritis treatment will provide relief from stiffness and aching. Improved veterinary care and dog arthritis medicine can help your pup live a long, healthy life.

Stiffness, difficulty getting up, or an unwillingness to run or play may be signs your dog is suffering pain when he moves. There may not be a pronounced limp and your pet can't tell you when he is in pain.

Canine arthritis isn't confined only to senior dogs but can be a result of a joint injury or be common for the breed. Large breed dogs frequently suffer from the disease due to the weight their joints support. Hip dysplasia in dogs is a condition not unusual for large breeds and may require the same dog arthritis treatment. It is normal for your canine companion to slow down a bit as he ages but there are symptoms to watch for that may indicate dog joint pain.

Your dog may seem slow to stand after lying down or be reluctant to jump or fetch or to climb stairs. He may show a decrease in activity and tend to remain in one place rather than follow you from room to room. The dog may be reluctant to sit on command or seem to favor one leg when he walks.

If your dog has painful joints, he may gain weight due to decreased exercise and play. He may seem less alert and sleep more than usual. If the pain is severe you may notice a difference in his behavior if rough housing or massaging causes additional pain.

A slight limp may be a sore joint cause by a mild injury but any change in mobility of your pet that last longer than a couple weeks should be checked by a veterinarian. Early diagnosis and treatment will slow the progression of the disease and extend the years your pet can remain lively and pain free.

Do not give human medications to your dog for joint pain or stiffness as they can be toxic to canines. Although dogs can tolerate baby aspirin, ibuprofen and acetaminophen can be toxic and dosages must be carefully monitored. Aspirin or other canine pain medications should only be given on the advice of your veterinarian.

The best course of action for a pet owner is a diagnosis by a veterinarian followed by dog arthritis treatment with medications specifically designed for dog joint pain. Your vet may prescribe non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs as well as an over the counter treatment for pain.

Prescribed medications may also carry a recommendation that your dog be put on a diet to control weight gain or to reduce his size. Excess weight adds more strain to joints already stressed by aging. Cutting back on treats and changing to a high quality food designed for dogs with weight management problems will help shed the extra pounds.

Rimadyl for dogs is the medication most often recommended by veterinarians for dog arthritis treatment. The chewable pill form of Rimadyl has a taste most dogs seem to like and chances are your dog will look forward to his daily dose of dog arthritis medicine. The difference in the activity level of the animal is often amazing after only a short time on Rimadyl for dogs. Don't be surprised if your old dog begins to act like a pup when his joint pain is eased.

Exercise is another important component of dog arthritis treatment. Running and jumping may be too hard on the joints but regular walks are recommended to maintain flexibility. If your pet has been sedentary in past months, it's best to start with short walks and let him choose the pace. Don't overdo it, but increase the distance and speed of your walks as your pooch responds to dog arthritis treatment. The combination of canine pain medication, weight management and regular exercise for dog arthritis treatment will help your older dog enjoy life to the fullest.

Herbal Sleep Supplements Help You Battle Insomnia Naturally

The way we live today is unlike the way in which any other group of people has ever lived. In many ways, we are 'post-human' beings. To make the most of every day, we need supplements and accessories to our lives just to function. These can be as simple as our cell phones, to something as complex as a pacemaker.

Every part of our life, from our work, to our relationships, to our leisure time is augmented and manipulated to give us the best possible experience. For a ten minute car ride to the store, we have access to satellite tracking, air conditioning, and teas and supplements to keep us awake and alert. However, there is one aspect of our lives that has not changed: sleep.

For most of us, these eight hours are the same relative experience that our ancestors had. Sleeping underneath the stars and with no alarm clock but the sun, our ancestors had the same sleep patterns and dreams that we did.

Herbal sleep supplements allow you to master and control our sleep experience naturally and without harmful side effects. Unlike harsh, chemicals and addictive prescription medications, herbal supplements work by augmenting the body's natural processes.

Herbal sleep supplements can naturally relax the body, lower your heart rate and letting your mind and body reach a state where sleep can be achieved. Instead of directly adding chemicals to the body, these may cause the body to start producing more or less of the body's own chemicals, which in turn will affect our sleep patterns.

While these drugs are powerful and can affect change within the body's chemistry, they will never be able to create the damaging effects of harsh chemical pharmaceuticals, since the body can often regulate chemical levels better than any pill.

In many ways, these work better because they address the root cause of the sleeplessness. If stress is the issue that is keeping you up at night, why would you waste your time masking that problem with chemical pills that will force sleep without addressing the core of the problem?

Herbal sleep supplements work by calming and sedating the body naturally, which will in turn remove the blocks that we may face as we try to sleep. Unlike chemical sleeping pills, herbal supplements do not have nearly as many side effects. Herbal sleeping supplements are not addictive.

Since the supplements work by augmenting and changing the flow of the body's own chemicals, there are no substantial changes made to the mind's functioning, where addiction forms. Furthermore, chemical sleeping pills may wear out over time, since they simply address sleeping problems by adding in new chemicals to the body's delicate chemistry.

After time, the body can become resistant to these chemicals, requiring increasing dosages of pills. To find the best herbal sleeping supplement for you and your needs, contact your local store or find a trained, qualified business on the Internet that can work with you to get you that night of sleep you so richly deserve.

Calcium Supplements for Better Sleep

Do you get enough sleep? Are you absolutely sure? Most of us actually do not get enough sleep, and we aren't even aware of it. We have just adjusted to not being at 100% during the day without even realizing that we are not at 100%. We just think the energy level that we have is 'normal.'

The fact is that we are not getting the rest that we need, and if we ever did actually get that rest, we would notice a vast difference in our performance and energy levels that would amaze most of us. Most of us also don't realize the impact that the foods we eat during the day have on our sleep.

Most of us do, however, know that caffeine keeps us awake. So, of course you want to avoid anything that has caffeine in it at least six hours before bed time. But just as caffeine is something that keeps us awake, there are many foods that actually help us get better sleep. Any food that contains tryptophan is a 'sleeper' food.

Tryptophan is an amino acid that produces melatonin in the brain. Melatonin slows down the traffic in the nerves and helps our brains rest. The brain, of course, is the body's commanding officer. When it's busy, so is the rest of the body - but when it takes some R & R, the rest of the body also gets to rest.

You've heard of people drinking a warm glass of milk in order to get to sleep. The 'warm' part really has no effect on sleep. It is a psychological trigger that soothes us from our baby days, when our mothers fed us warmed milk or baby formula. The milk part of that, however, actually does aid us in sleep, because of the calcium and the tryptophan that is contained in milk.

The calcium actually helps the brain use the tryptophan in a more productive way, making it produce melatonin faster, which relaxes our brains enough to let us fall into a deep, relaxing sleep.

Life Force International has a product called OsteoProCare, which is a liquid calcium supplement. One of the first benefits of OsteoProCare that their customers notice is that they sleep better. Again, this is because of the calcium. Not only does this calcium help the brain produce melatonin, it also reduced pain and stiffness, and helps decrease leg cramps, restless legs, and muscle spasms that many people experience during the night. The only reason we mention a specific product here is because it is in a liquid form instead of a pill. The absorption into the bloodstream is much faster and your body utilizes more of it. This is unique in the calcium supplement market and we have not found any other calcium supplements that even comes close.

People that have used a liquid calcium supplement also report an increased sense of well being, which is also the result of a good night's sleep.

So, have that glass of milk before bed - warm or cold - and use a liquid calcium supplement during the day, at mealtimes, to not only aid in good sleep, but also to promote good health as well.

Sleep Programs - The Solution to This Sleep Epidemic?

Insomnia affects many people and is taking a huge toll on their health. The need for a good sleep program is clear. Many believe that prescription drugs are the only answer. However, a recent survey indicated that most people would prefer natural treatment. After all, who wants to place all of their hope on a tiny little pill?

Perhaps you haven't heard the news, but insomnia has reached epidemic proportions in the United States. As many as one third of adults are unable to get a good night's sleep. With most of these people convinced that prescription sleep medications are their only hope, the pharmaceutical companies are making windfall profits.

And here is why the cycle continues. The pharmaceutical industry takes these incredible profits and spends huge sums on advertising. They use mass marketing to reach consumers directly. At the same time, pharmaceutical salespeople wine and dine physicians and provide them with boxes of free samples.

If you've seen an advertisement for prescription sleep medications, then you understand. People on the advertisement are shown waking up refreshed and ready for their day, while a voice over assures you there will be no side effects. If results like these are possible, then why wouldn't you want to try these medications for yourself?

However, once you spend some time taking sleeping pills, you begin to realize that reality might not be so rosy. Sure, sleep medications "work." You take the pill and you fall asleep. Or at least you lapse into eight hours of unconsciousness. And for some reason, you don't seem to be waking up refreshed like the people on TV. It seems like you spend most of the morning trying to overcome drowsiness. Eventually you realize that you haven't really fixed your insomnia problem. Because if you stop taking the pills, you'll stop sleeping.

More and more people are looking for natural sleep programs that don't rely on drugs to help them sleep. Unfortunately, many doctors are not aware of alternative treatments for insomnia. If you really want to find a natural solution to your sleep problems, you may have to do your own research.

You should be encouraged that there are many safe and effective alternatives to prescription sleeping pills. If you need to take a sleep aid, there are herbal formulas that can help you sleep without harmful side effects. Simple changes to your sleeping environment can often make a big difference. With just a little guidance, you can easily put together a sleep program that works without resorting to sleeping pills.

Try the Grape Diet to Detox and Lose Weight

The Grape Diet is ideal for detoxing the body and losing weight at the same time.

When we feel tired and sluggish, miserable and stressed, it's usually because we're overweight, or our body is clogged up with eating junk and fatty foods.

You can detox and lose weight by exercising proper diet control. Usually that means having a starvation or disgusting diet plan, but the grape diet is one of the few exceptions to the rule, providing you like grapes of course. This particular diet came to light as a side effect during testing of The Grape Cure, discovered and tried by Johanna Brandt in the 1920s. The grape cure was originally tried on cancer patients, with some success, but modern science has concluded that grape seed extract can help treat many ailments, and it's good for the heart.

The diet is now widely used not only for fast weight loss, but for detoxing the body, cleansing the blood and kidneys, making you feel more energetic, needing less sleep, and being overall more relaxed.

The detox grape cure is simple to follow, and only lasts from three to six days, during which time you can lose anything between 5 and 10lbs with no side effects. The weight loss is temporary, but the process can be followed safely from time to time, making it ideal for fast weight loss for an upcoming wedding or other important occasions.

Apart from losing weight, the benefits you gain from taking the grape seed extract make the grape diet more beneficial to your overall health than most other diet plans.

The Truth About Hydroxycut

The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about hydroxycut is that it does work. There are no miracle cures for weight loss or any other problem you may be experiencing. Sometimes the best thing we can do is look at the pros and cons of whatever product we are considering trying.

The pros will probably outweigh the cons if you look objectively. However, there is no pill available that will melt the weight off your body. You have to get up and exercise and stop eating all the candy bars and ice cream you want. Hydroxycut will help you to lose weight if you give it a chance.

The most common problem people who take hydroxycut were having was the inability to sleep at night. However, the simple solution to this problem was to take hydroxycut at least 6 to 8 hours before you plan to retire for the night.

There are people who took the old formula hydroxycut and had some amazing results. Along with exercising and eating the right foods, the weight they lost was major weight. The good thing about using hydroxycut is that you can get results faster. You will start to feel slimmer when you exercise and the boost of energy that this diet aid can give you will make you even more excited about exercising.

The plain truth is that hydroxycut will help you to achieve your weight loss goals if you use a sensible weight loss plan. Yes, it does have thermongenic fat burners that will raise your metabolism to help you have the energy required for exercise. A sedentary person will remain sedentary until something comes along to help them up and out the door.

Hydroxycut remains a very effective weight loss aid to those who wish to lose the pounds they have accumulated. Even without the ephedra, which was banned from usage in 1997, this weight loss product remains one of the most popular. It is used by body builders and models. If it were not effective at doing what it claims to do, it would not be a popular selling weight loss formula.

Hydroxycut Hardcore is a new and improved form of hydroxycut that has become quite popular since its release. Results such as a 7.9% reduction in body fat and production of norepenephrine are benefits of this new product. Norepenephrine is produced by the adrenal gland and is the body's version of ephedra, which is responsible for raising your metabolic rate.

If you are overweight and are at the point where you do not know what to do to begin to get this situation under control, do some research on hydroxycut. You will be most grateful that you did. Give it a try and keep a record of how much you lose. Now is the time for a change and hydroxycut has what you need to lose the weight and look forward to a healthier future.

Sleep - Get Some!

You had it last week and you will get it next week, so you ignore today's portion. You think that you can get away with it, but, in reality, it will get to you. You can not do without this, even you, you cannot do without it, yet you try and try and try, and each time, you fall flat on your face. And then you begin again next week and try again. You cannot do without this.

How many times a year are you going to learn and re-learn the lesson that sleep is one of the most important things that you can have for yourself. If you do not get enough sleep, your body will not be at its' most healthy space. Once you begin losing sleep on a regular basis, it is extremely hard to catch up. Seems like that is the never-ending battle, catching up on lost sleep. I will give you some ideas on how to catch up, little by little. Only try what is safe for you to do.

Try these:
1. Before going to sleep, put some earphones into your ears, the ear buds or small headphones. Put on some soothing music or some boring talk radio show. You will fall asleep and most likely sleep through the night.
2. Have a nice bowl of mashed potatoes -the natural sleeping pill. Have some kind of food that generally makes you tired. And then go to sleep about half-hour or hour later. Do not drink liquids as these will wake you out of a sleep.
3. Read. Read a really boring book while in a reclining position. Put a pillow under your head, and go to sleep while reading.
4. Write in your journal for a while. Watch some soothing television (put a nice video in), and then go to bed.
5. If necessary, sometimes, but not every night, take an Excedrin PM or Tylenol PM to help you sleep. Do not take sleeping pills or over-the-counter sleeping pills. You just do not need them.

These are just suggestions. Only do what is safe for you to do. Only you know your own body and your own life. When needing professional help (r e: sleeping pills, insomnia or narcolepsy), contact a doctor, professional or counselor.

Recognizing Side Effects Of Depression

Someone living with depression has many different feelings to try and deal with on a daily basis. Sometimes these can become so overwhelming that it is almost impossible to get through each day. There are a lot of mental depression side effects that these people have to deal with. For instance, depression interferes with both your personal and professional life by making it harder for you to deal with normal events. If you are dealing with depression, then you may find it hard to get out of bed for fear of what the day may bring. You may experience insomnia or you may find yourself wanting to sleep all the time. Either way you will feel tired and worn out all the time.

A depressed person will have very low energy levels and feel tired and worn out even when they first get out of bed. You may feel lonely, sad and empty inside for no apparent reason. You will no longer enjoy going out with friends and doing the things that you use to do. In fact, you would much rather be at home alone where things are easier. Holding a conversation can even become difficult as simple decisions get harder to make. Basically, you begin to lose interest in everything that you use to care about and nothing really matters anymore.

Headaches and body aches and pains are another sign of depression especially when there is no physical reason for the pain you are feeling. The pain can be difficult to deal with because you can't get rid of it unless you treat the source, which is depression. Crying, being irritable and having a restless feeling are also mental depression side effects that you need to be aware of. Many people try to treat their depression by overeating. They use food as a comfort zone. This of course just adds to the symptoms as you become overweight and more depressed. Some people stop eating which can also cause a lot of health problems.

Once depression gets really bad many people give up and start thinking about suicide as a way out. This is certainly not the answer. If you or a loved one is depressed then it is crucial that you see your health care provider. You don't have to live this way and you can get your old life back as long as you take that first step. Don't let anyone make you feel that you have to do this on your own because it is not just something you can overcome easily. There is help available for those who seek it. Don't hesitate to ask for help talk to your doctor today and start getting your life back in order.

Don't Waste Time - Sleep

We spend one third of our lives sleeping. If you have ever thought that your sleeping periods are actually a huge waste of time, you should better think again. When a person is awake, the body cells are continuously active and as time during the day progresses they become more or less fatigued. Instances of sore feet, headaches, difficulties in breathing normally, among many other body malfunctions, can be directly related with poor sleeping habits and can tremendously reduce the productivity levels while being awake. Sleeping regularly during a specific time frame can help bodies rejuvenate and increase the conscious moments regardless of one's age or working habits.

As experts support, sleep provides body cells the necessary time to repair and recover from the daily demands. In need of a recovery period, our bodies experience a periodic loss of consciousness known as sleep. Entering this unconscious state is mandatory for a person's well-being, since sleep is an extremely important bodily function, needed as much as water, for the human body to function properly and be on alert. Essential to good health, the proper night sleeping habits are according to medical science the basic phase when our minds, organs and mussels find time to heal and relax.

But the proper sleeping time frame is not the same for everyone. Although many will state that sleeping straight for eight hours a day is exactly what the body and the mind needs to refresh, a variety of studies over the years suggest that the amount of time needed to sleep varies greatly from individual to individual. Factors such as the person's age, the current state of health, or even a country's climate, can influence the total amount of time needed by someone to wake up and feel alert, relaxed and fit. If fatigue and discomfort is experienced on a regular basis while awake, then probably more sleeping time is required. In particular, people undergoing a stressed period need to sleep longer. This realization is rather ironic if one considers that these individuals have reported to experience the most severe abnormalities in relation to their sleeping patterns. Thus, it is important for one to test the amount of sleep they receive against their productivity levels during the day and add or subtract sleeping time depending on their current situation.

Before taking a sleeping pill, attempt to form regular sleeping habits. Be proactive and try to relax so as to find the best possible combination between being asleep and being awake. Your body, your mind, your beloved ones and of course your boss will appreciate the difference. Don't waste time. Sleep!

Diet Pill Tips

If you have ever tried to lose weight, you know it can be such a struggle; especially for us women. It isn't that is does not affect men, but it does typically seem to affect women differently than it does men for the most part.

The use of the adipex diet pill has been shown to produce good results for a short term solution to jump starting weight loss for men and women, but it is available by prescription only. Much like phentermine, you still have to adhere to the traditional guidelines of dieting like:

* Drink plenty of water - At least 8 glasses a day.
* Get plenty of rest - Sleep at least 8 hours a night.
* Get some form of exercise - At least walk for 30 minutes a day.
* Eliminate sweets, fatty foods and complex carbohydrates - Resist the temptation of sugary snacks, breads and reduce dairy intake.
* Think about joining a support group - Get support from others that have the same issues you have to help you get a handle on your life.

The only problem with these diet pills is that they have been known to have horrible side effects.

Today, many folks are seeking natural alternatives to these recently proven-to-be harmful diet pills.

The struggle to lose weight does not just include physical issues, but also emotional and psychological issues. Many people struggling with weight issues suffer from depression and that can bring on physical problems such as aches and tummy troubles that affect your personal and professional. The emotional issues can cause you to feel and be less productive.

If you feel depressed, you are less likely to enjoy spending time with your family, and that brings on guilt for the icing on the depression cake. Today, there are so many ways a person can choose to get help with losing weight and feeling better that there is no reason you cannot find the help you need. Whether you choose a natural herbal diet pill or a prescription like the Adipex diet pill, there is help and support for you.

Joining a local support group is one way that will help you stay on a program. Sometimes life gets in the way, and comfort foods seem to make it all go away, but that is not the way to lose weight. Stop Smoking Hypnosis Effective for Some People, Research Shows

According to testimonials and clinical studies, stop smoking hypnosis works for some people. Stop smoking hypnotherapy is 40% effective after 8 visits, according to a study published in the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. The problem with most forms of therapy is that smokers choose to return to smoking.

This has nothing to do with the addictive nature of nicotine and other chemicals in cigarette smoke. If a person refrains from smoking for 12 weeks, physical withdrawal symptoms are no longer present, physical addiction is no longer present, other motivations are at play.

The goal of stop smoking hypnotherapy and other forms of counseling are to change the behaviors or remove the motivations that make people want to return to smoking. Even though television ads are no longer allowed in the United States, cigarettes are always on display in convenience stores and advertised in magazines, so the temptation is always there, particularly if you have friends or family who continue to smoke.

Temptations are great, as many as 80% of people who quit smoking will start again in the first year, regardless of the therapies they choose to use. One of the positive aspects of stop smoking hypnosis, according to the study mentioned above, is that after 6 months, 40% of people who participated in the study had not returned to smoking.

If you compare the effectiveness of stop smoking hypnotherapy to Chantix, the newest stop smoking pill, hypnotherapy is at least as effective. During the latest study published by Pfizer, over 50% of participants dropped out before completing the study. None of the participants in the stop smoking hypnosis study dropped out.

Over 96% of people in the Chantix studied reported adverse side effects, including nausea and insomnia. No adverse side effects were reported by the group using hypnotherapy. In fact, even self-hypnosis can improve a person's ability to relax and sleep well.

36% of the people in the Chantix study were smoke-free after one year, but they continued to take the drug for the full year. The drug is only approved for use for a period of 12 weeks.

The stop smoking hypnotherapy study lasted for six months, the 40% success rate only required 8 visits and the participants were able to quit within the first week of treatment.

If you take into account the people who dropped out of the Chantix study, the drug was only effective 19% of the time, but that is not how the researchers reported the results. Chantix involves substituting one psychoactive substance for another.

Stop smoking hypnosis involves convincing yourself that you really want to quit. Similar programs that do not require hypnotic sessions are available and reported success rates are as high as 90%. To learn more, please visit http://www.stop-smoking-blog.com.

Losing Sleep Due To Frequent Urination? Maybe You Have Nocturia

Nothing is more annoying than waking up in the middle of the night because of the feeling to urinate. Imagine being awake because of that, only to realize you can't sleep anymore. Sounds familiar? Maybe you have nocturia.

But what is nocturia and why should you care? Let's take it from the National Sleep Foundation and other sleep experts.

I. Definition, Causes And Symptoms

Nocturia is a health condition, which is characterized by a frequent need to go to the bathroom even at night. In this condition, one wakes up while sleeping just to urinate, even for two or more times at night. For those with severe nocturia, they could get up for five or six times each night.

older people are more likely to suffer from this problem simply because as people's ages go up, our anti-diuretic hormone levels decline, making us less able to hold fluids in our bodies. Another reason is that as we age, we also lose our holding capacity, which results to our need to expel the fluids from our bodies.

Nocturia is seen as a symptom of numerous conditions, including urological infection, prostate disorders, bladder prolapse, and even obstructive sleep apnea.

It could also be caused by excessive intake of fluids and food with high water content, especially caffeinated beverages, which makes the person feel the need to urinate at night.

II. Affects Old People The Most

As previously stated, this condition is common among old people. So common, that in fact, in a poll conducted by the National

Sleep Foundation in 2003 called, "Sleep In America," nearly 65% of the respondents aged 55-84 reported about experiencing this problem at least a few nights a week.

Nocturia is a serious problem because it causes disturbed sleep patterns, which in turn affects one's quality of life. Severe drowsiness affect people's mental and physical performance, decrease their productivity during the day and make them more emotionally frustrated due to the fact that they are not getting any rest at night. It could also be a source of accidents among older adults as they get up to urinate at night.

III. The Cure

One possible treatment for nocturia is through desmopressin, an anti-diuretic that controls or prevents one's frequent urination. Clinical trials have proven its efficacy in reducing the number of times one goes to the bathroom.

If nocturia is caused by another disorder, that condition must be addressed, and the nocturia will go away.

Another remedy is by seeking advice from a health care provider. It is recommended that a patient keep a diary where the actual number of times he has urinated at night are recorded, as well as his sleeping habits and his daytime fatigue. Through his diary, the doctor will be able to give the patient the right type of therapy.

Drinking at least 3 hours before bedtime will also help in preventing one's self from urinating. The more food with water content and fluids one consumes throughout the day, the greater amounts of urine must be expelled.

Recognizing Iron Deficiency Anemia Symptoms in Teens

Teenagers are at a higher risk for iron deficiency anemia due the rapid rate at which they are growing during these years. As the body grows, it requires larger amounts of nutrients, including iron, which it receives from the blood. If the blood is not replenished with iron, anemia can set in. So combine teenage growth spurts with a diet lacking iron-rich foods and you could have a case of teenage anemia to deal with.

There are other risk factors for teenage anemia mostly targeting teenage girls. Teen girls are at a higher risk for anemia since the body loses iron during menstruation and girls usually do not compensate for that loss by eating more iron-rich foods. Anemia is more likely to develop in teen girls who become pregnant also. Lastly, becoming a vegetarian or dieting to lose weight can cause anemia to develop since the present of red meat, which is a prime source of iron, is lacking in these lifestyles.

Symptoms Of Iron Deficiency Anemia

The symptoms of iron deficiency anemia can be mild and hard to notice. Often, if the anemia is mild, there may be no symptoms at all. Even when there are noticeable symptoms, frequently they are dismissed as a bug or even just due to the fact that teens often don't eat as well as they should or sleep as much as they should. The most common symptoms of iron-deficiency anemia are fatigue or weakness, pale skin color caused by fewer red blood cells in the blood, and trouble concentrating or remembering most likely caused by less oxygen in the blood flowing to the brain. As you can see, many normal teens without anemia can display these symptoms for any number of reasons.

Other, more noticeable, symptoms of iron-deficiency anemia in teens are a faster pulse caused by the heart beating harder to pump more oxygen into the blood, shortness of breath when running or climbing stairs (or any type of exertion), and frequent or severe headaches. The most disturbing symptoms can be sudden severe nosebleeds that may or may not accompany the headaches. Unfortunately, many of these symptoms can also be explained by other causes.

The best advice is to watch your teen. If you notice a combination of these symptoms lasting for more than a couple of days, you should schedule a visit with your teen's doctor. The doctor will ask a series of questions to determine whether or not your teen should be tested for anemia. Luckily, a simple blood test is all that is needed to diagnose iron-deficiency anemia.

Treatment For Iron Deficiency Anemia

If your teen is diagnosed as having iron-deficiency anemia, an iron supplement will most likely be prescribed once or twice a day for a time depending on how severe the anemia is. Your doctor may also recommend, and it is a good idea to, making some lifestyle changes involving a healthier diet consisting of dark green vegetables, legumes and small amounts of red meat as well. Your teen should also try hard to get at least eight hours of sleep a night, which is the minimum amount recommended for children growing at the speed that adolescents are. With the proper diet and sleep, as well as the iron supplements, the anemia should subside within a couple of weeks.

Ambien Sleep Medication And Insomnia: What Is Insomnia And How Can Ambien Help?

What's Insomnia?

Identifying insomnia is a little like the old joke about art: you know it when you're having it. For people with insomnia, though, it's no laughing matter. Having reduced or interrupted sleep is as bad for your physical and mental health as getting the wrong, or not enough, food.

People suffering insomnia may experience difficulties falling asleep, waking too early, or sleeping in small bursts throughout the night. Worse yet, someone with sleep difficulties wakes up and doesn't feel rested, may have trouble focusing, and worry about their sleep problem to the point where they can't sleep for worrying.

What Can I Do?

Like any other health problem, a combination of medication and new behavior can make a big difference. Behavior changes sleep specialists recommend including exercising regularly early in the day, reducing caffeine consumption, and making sure there's no TV in the bedroom.

A medication can help reinforce these changes by allowing you to get unbroken, healthy sleep. One medication many physicians recommend is Ambien.

I Don't Want To Take Sleeping Pills!

Over the years, "sleeping pills" have gotten some pretty bad publicity. Many 50's movie thrillers involved villains sneaking sleeping pills into the unsuspecting hero's drink. Famous people (like the poet Sylvia Plath) attempted suicide with sleeping pills. It's no wonder that you might feel reluctant to take a pill to help you sleep!

But modern drugs that help with sleep are much safer and gentler than the drugs of the past. Ambien works with a chemical in your brain called GABA. GABA helps calm the activity of certain brain cells, allowing you to sleep. Because the drug has a gentle effect on GABA, you won't wake up in the morning feeling like a zombie - you'll be refreshed and ready for a new day.

The Doctor's Office

You don't need to visit a sleep specialist to get a prescription for Ambien, though you will need to speak with a physician. Talk with your doctor about your current sleep pattern (keeping a sleep diary before your appointment can be useful) as well as the medications you are currently taking.

If Ambien seems like a good match for you, your doctor will probably prescribe it for 7 to 10 days. In rare cases, she may extend the time you use it.

A week of Ambien can help break the cycle of sleeplessness, letting you recover your natural, healthy sleep pattern. Very, very few people (1-2% of people taking Ambien) experience very mild side effects (diarrhea, drowsiness, or dizziness). You should work with your doctor to prescribe you the lowest effective dose for you, since you don't need the nighttime drowsiness to linger when you've got a big meeting with your boss the next day!

Why Can't I Just Stay On Ambien Since It's The Best Sleep I've Gotten In Years?

One of the few problems with Ambien is that it can become habit-forming (addictive) if used for several weeks. In fact, if your doctor prescribes it for two weeks or more, do not go "cold turkey" and stop the medication all at once; instead talk with her about creating a plan to taper off your dosage gently until you're ready to stop.

Sleeping Pill Side Effects - Sleepwalking, Memory Loss, Hallucinations and More

Are you curious to know what the main side effects of Ambien sleeping pills are? If so, you've come to the right place because I have some important information to share with you.

My research team has conducted first-hand and independent research by scouring through dozens of online message boards and collecting data from over 350 users of Ambien.

One of the things that immediately jumped out when conducting our research is that most people who are considering taking Ambien or even those who are on Ambien are not aware of the downsides of the drug.

In other words, they are often largely ignorant of what they are getting into. What's worse is that the doctors who prescribe Ambien seem to often be just as uninformed as the patient in regard to the side effects.

About half of Ambien users included in our research indicated that they experience side effects. The most common side effect or downside of the drug is sleep acting. This is broader and more bizarre than simple sleepwalking and can include sleep talking, sleep cooking, sleep cleaning, sleep driving, sleep swearing, sleep sex, sleep emailing, sleep phoning, etc.

Ambien users also report having little or no memory of sleep acting. They are often informed about their actions the next day, usually by family members. And oftentimes the actions that the Ambien user took while under the drug's influence are extremely embarrassing.

Other reported side effects include hallucinations, next day drowsiness, anxiety / panic attacks, strange dreams and nightmares.

Sleeping Lessons - 5 Ways to a Good Night's Sleep

These sleeping lessons are designed to help you sleep better. Sleep can be severely affected when we are stressed or anxious. If we have a very hectic and stressful life our sleep can be one of the first things to be disrupted.

And without good sleep other areas of our lives are harder to maintain - our physical health, and our mental and emotional balance is affected too.

So what are the 5 sleeping lessons?

1. Make Your Bedroom A Sacred Sleeping Space

What does this mean? This means make the place where you sleep a place where this is all you do: sleep.

Take out televisions and electrical equipment, especially computers. Your sleeping space should be a sacred space where you rest and rest only.

Your sleeping space should not be where you work. You will be more prone to waking in the night, worrying about work if you do.

2. Get Some Plants In Your Bedroom

Get some plants into your bedroom. They are a wonderful way of changing the energy and air in your room. A list of wonderful plants which will not only change the air but also take chemicals out are as follows:

o English ivy
o Spider plants
o Dracaena
o Boston ferns
o Fig trees (ficus benjanmina)

3. Meditate Before Sleep

I always spend 30 minutes and sometimes longer meditating before I go to sleep. This settles my mind and relaxes my body. My mind switches off and allows me to fall into a deep and nourishing sleep. If you don't switch off the busyness of your mind you will find it hard to sleep well.

4. Practice Controlled Breathing

You can do this exercise before sleep or if you wake in the night.

Exercise: While lying in bed consciously try slowing your breath down. Play a game with yourself. See how slow and relaxed you can make your breath become. Feel yourself melting into your bed as you breathe into your whole body.

5. Practice Whole Body Breathing

This is another one of the sleeping lessons that I use to sleep soundly and is one I teach to my clients.

This can be used just before sleep or in the night should you wake.

Exercise: Breathe in deeply while lying on your back in bed. Allow your body to be relaxed with your toes pointing upwards. Breathe in. When you breathe out push your toes away from you. When you breathe in again bring your toes upright.

Relax with every breath you take keeping the movement relaxed and calm. Repeat for a few minutes. Then breathe out and let your knees roll out. Breathe in and allow them to roll back in. Repeat.

Breathe out and let your hips roll forward. Breathe in and bring them back to centre.

Carry on moving up the body from stomach to chest to shoulders to neck and head breathing and moving the body at the same time. If you are still awake by the time you get to your head, go back down the body doing the same exercises. These sleeping lessons have been passed onto me and I have found them to be really useful for sleeping well. Hopefully they will help you too. Be gentle, remember, and don't worry if you can't sleep - use it to your advantage - meditate, breathe and relax.

Relieving Anxiety - Five Anxiety Busting Suggestions

Your anxiety level has been running out of control for longer than you would like to admit and realize that if you don't do something about it your health will surely continue to deteriorate. You have read about how prolonged nervous tension can lead to heart disease, stroke, depression, high blood pressure and even diabetes but can't quite seem to get your arms around this troublesome bedfellow. You have also read about how 25 million Americans are currently struggling with an anxiety disorder and untold numbers that are being crushed by run of the mill daily anxiety.

The disturbing part of the statistics above is that the numbers continue to grow, and today there are more people than ever before struggling with both short and long term anxiety. These numbers have landed anxiety in the number one spot of common mental disorder worldwide.

So how can we turn the tables on this destructive foe? Are there any effective ways for relieving anxiety short of a lifelong regime of pills and therapists?

For some a therapist might prove helpful, but without a doubt there are a number of techniques which can prove to be quite effective for those willing to make a few positive changes. Let's look at a list of five possible solutions for relieving anxiety.

* Be true to yourself: If you are trying to be someone different than your core tells you who your are you are likely placing unnecessary pressure on yourself. By going back to your core beliefs and having your actions reflect those beliefs you will have taken a huge step towards unloading that excess anxiety producing baggage.

* Dig out your boogie shoes: Exercises such as dancing or aerobic dance have been shown to burn off excess adrenaline and trigger a flood of feel good endorphins. Now for some getting your boogie on may not be an option. If this is the case taking a daily walk or even participating in a 20 minute session of swimming pool aerobics could prove to be quite effective. A couple of good suggestions in this area would be to choose non competitive pursuits along with starting slow and setting easily achievable goals.

* Set aside fifteen minutes every day to clear your mind: If you can find a few minutes to close your eyes, turn off mobile devices and other distractions, and visualize something that makes you happy you might be surprised much anxiety simply melts away.

* Eat your stress away: No, this is not about eating a gallon of ice cream when you are stressing. In fact it is quite the opposite. There is something called an anxiety reducing diet which consists of 55 percent carbohydrates, 30 percent fats, and 15 percent protein. Sugar and salt should be held to a minimum if not eliminated altogether. This diet will tend to level out moods and relieve anxiety.

* Herbal supplements can help: Despite your best efforts you haven't quite been able to send anxiety packing. When you feel you need that little extra bit of help to get the job done a natural herbal anxiety supplement might just be that missing piece of the puzzle you have been looking for.

Cure Your Sleeping Disorders by Taking Organic Herbal Alternatives

The question about the function of sleep remains one of the major challenges Nero scientists are faced with, Scientists are convinced that it is necessary to sleep daily, No person ever on this planet has failed to experience the overpowering urge to fall asleep after a disturbed night's sleep or after sleep was curtailed or deprived.

Why does animal or human sleep? This basic question has still been unanswered, despite the fact that sleep has fascinated mankind for centuries. Sleep is part of the life cycle. It is a state of consciousness that we experience daily. It is Cherished and sought by man.

The quest for understanding of sleep has taken many faces and today involves molecular research. However the sleep gene remains elusive, despite the fact that many genes involved in the timing of sleep and in some of the events that are part of what constitutes "sleep process" has been identified. The early to bed early to raise individual may now blame this personal trait on long gone ancestor who passed down these genetic characteristics.

In the 21st century will identify the cascade of genes responsible for the occurrence and stereotypic organization of this behavior. The recognition of genes and gene products involved will allow better understanding and help alleviate the many dysfunctions that have been identified during our time. But this Endeavor must begin with well defined phenotypes and appropriate techniques to recognize and classify abnormalities.

Sleep disorder is in about 30% of adult grown people, and recent studies have shown developed nation suffers most due to high stress involved at work or has been seen even now in kids as have to perform on every aspect of life, at school and even at home.

There are several remedies available to cure sleep related problem, there are sleep pills which taken before 15 - 30 minutes before bedtime allows you to sleep sound for 8 hours, but such drugs are prescription medication and you doctor can write for you, the disadvantage with this Drugs is they are made of chemical compound which triggers your neuron transmitters which further tells the brain to sleep. Such medicines are addictive, and you can get habituated with the drug or you with time the Drug might not show any result, the Neuron Transmitters get used to the Drug and show resistance.

There are alternative in Ayurveda Natural sleep medicines. (Ayurveda is system of traditional medicine native to Indian subcontinent and practiced in other parts of the world as alternative medicine) There is all organic supplement available called Lunasom PM, this is 100% natural medicine which helps you to sleep better and is made of all herbs and flowers, It is available through several food and health stores or you can also buy direct online.

Sleep Apnea and Heart Disease - An In-Depth Look at Sleep Apnea

It is suspected that one of the major factors to heart diseases, especially those that don't respond to traditional methods of dealing with heart problems, is sleep apnea. Indeed the link between sleep deprivation and heart disease has become especially prominent in recent years as more research has been carried out into the sleep disorder that literally causes you to stop breathing whilst asleep.

Dr Somers, professor of hypertension and cardiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, had this to say "It is possible that diagnosing and treating sleep apnea may prove to be an important opportunity to advance our efforts at preventing and treating heart disease"

The reasons are simple - sleep deprivation places considerable pressure on the heart, which can lead to heart complications.

Sleep Apnea and Heart Disease

Sleep apnea is a sleeping disorder whereby the sufferer will stop breathing at regular times whilst asleep. This can last into the minutes at a time and will usually take place a number of times an hour.

This causes the body to use it's oxygen reserves quite considerably and can lead to a build up in carbon dioxide in the blood stream. This build up places extra strain on the heart as it is required to pump harder to move what oxygenated blood is left around the body.

Furthermore the lack of oxygen causes blood cells to contract, increasing the body's blood pressure. Indeed it is strongly suspected, based on current research, that apnea can severely limit the body's ability to regulate it's own blood pressure.

This 'double hit' of increased work load and higher blood pressure can lead to a dramatic increase of the likelihood of heart disease, and because it is not from outside influences or traditional methods the normal medical practices of dealing with heart disease may well prove less suitable.

Which is why many doctors believe more patients who are suffering from heart disease should be tested for sleep deprivation, to see if it is, if not the cause, at least contributing to the problem. It is also suggested by some medical experts that those who suffer from sleep apnea should be tested for heart problems as a matter of course (this is becoming more and more common).

This strong link between sleep apnea and heart problems is something that worries a number of sufferers of sleep deprivation. It should be noted, however, that one of the major causes of sleep deprivation is being overweight (especially true of obese people), and so they are already likely to be susceptible to heart problems.

Sleep apnea and heart disease are two medical problems that go hand in hand. It is certainly worth looking into one if you have the other - they may hold the key to helping you improve your health.
